Liberal Democrat Survey on Labour plan to close Wisewood and Myers Grove Schools3.54.08pm UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 15th Nov 2006 Local Liberal Democrat councillors and campaigners in Stannington, Walkley and Hillsborough are surveying local people on Labours council plan to axe two local secondary schools. They are concerned at closing both schools and they are suspicious of the plan for a new school on the Myers Grove site. They are delivering surveys to the area but you can complete it or download it off this website too. To download the survey go to http://www.sheffieldlibdems.org.uk/resources/index/ click on 'Wisewood and Myers Grove School Survey'. Print the document off and return to the freepost address at the bottom of the survey form. To fill in the survey go to http://www.sheffieldlibdems.org.uk/surveys/1/ and log on. Under plans put forward by the council both Wisewood Secondary School and Myers Grove Secondary School will close and a new school will be built on the Myers Grove site with a reduction of many pupil places. The move will leave the Hillsborough Ward without a local secondary school.
