Rt Hon. Nick Clegg MP (Sheffield Hallam)
Nick Clegg was first elected as MP for Sheffield Hallam in 2005, with a majority of 8,000. Five years later, he nearly doubled his majority, re-elected by a margin of 15,000. In the intervening years he was propelled from fresh-faced MP to Leader of the Liberal Democrats. Prior to becoming a parliamentarian, Nick worked as an economic journalist and as a top negotiator for the European Union. In 2010, he led the Liberal Democrats into government for the first time in over 60 years. Subsequently, he became the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Edward McMillan-Scott MEP (Yorkshire & Humber)
Edward McMillan-Scott has represented Yorkshire & Humber in the European Parliament for more than twenty-five years. Edward ran his own public affairs company before first being elected to the European Parliament as a Conservative in 1984. In 2009 he was expelled from the Conservative Party, after he stood up to their extremist allies from other countries. In March 2010, Edward subsequently became a member of the Liberal Democrats and sits with the Liberal Democrat Group in Parliament.
