Fulwood ward is in the South West of Sheffield and contains Fulwood, Hallam, Hallam Moor, Lodge Moor, Nether Green, and Ranmoor.
In Fulwood local Liberal Democrats have been fighting to:
- Save the mobile library service and protect Broomhill Library from closure.
- Campaign for better bus services to our area.
- Support local traders in Nether Green.
- Support Friends of the Porter Valley to renovate Shepherd’s Wheel and Forge Dam.
- Tackle road safety by funding new yellow lines outside Hallam Primary School.
- Oppose plans to concrete over green land at Canterbury Crescent.
- Retain the Mayfield Outdoor Education Centre.

Name: Cllr Andrew Sangar
Years as councillor: 23 Term Ends: May 2015
Bio: Andrew has over twenty years experience as a local councillor for Fulwood. He has fought to protect the Green Belt, regenerate parks in the Porter Valley and improve local bus services. Andrew has also supported the refurbishment of the Shepherd Wheel in Whiteley Woods. He was the Council’s Cabinet Member for Performance for three years, helping to clear up the mess of the previous Labour administration. He was also the Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s services for two years and oversaw record improvements in the city’s GCSE and KS2 results. In his free time, Andrew enjoys walks in the peak district, shows at the theatre and takes a keen interest in local history.

Bio: Cliff Woodcraft was elected in a stunning by-election victory in May 2013, following the sad death of local campaigner Janice Sidebottom. Cliff lives locally on Hallam Grange Rise and has a strong record of supporting local people. Cliff lives with his wife Mary and his three children attended the local Hallam School. He spent most of his life working in engineering and computing at the University of Sheffield and also volunteers with St Luke’s helping elderly people. Locally, Cliff has been campaigning to protect threatened green land, tackle road safety in Fulwood, and improve local bus services.
